Over £124,000 distributed to good causes

2018 is the 40th Anniversary of the original Bythams with Careby Hunter Trials.

The event was devised and run by a group of farmers to raise much needed funds for the fabric of (then) three local churches. The event took place on their land in Castle Bytham and provided an enjoyable challenge to horse riders from around the area and a very popular day out for the local community. In 1992 Creeton church joined the list of beneficiaries and the ever popular event moved to a new course at Grimsthorpe Park.

In 1994 a fifth charity (that would be selected on a yearly basis) was added to the list. In 2003 the Hunter Trials were replaced with a Sponsored Ride and in 2012 the Fun Carriage Drive was added to the event.

40 years on over £124,000 has been distributed to our local churches, our parish magazine and to a number of local and national charities including Cancer Research UK, Lincolnshire Air Ambulance, Kesteven Blind Society and The Animal Health Trust.
